FAQ

Questions

How do I edit a CSV file?

Open it in the editor above, click a cell and type. When you are done, click Save CSV. You can also open CSV files in Excel or Notepad, but Excel can change leading zeros and dates when it opens them.

How do I edit a CSV file without Excel changing my data?

Use this editor. It keeps every value exactly as text, so 00123 stays 00123 and 3/4 is not turned into a date.

Can I sort a CSV file?

Yes. Pick the column and click Sort A→Z or Z→A. Numbers sort as numbers, so 10 comes after 9.

How do I delete a column from a CSV file?

Pick the column in the toolbar and click Delete column, then Save CSV.

Will I lose my changes if I close the page?

The browser warns you if there are unsaved changes. Nothing is stored online, so save before closing.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so your data never leaves your computer. It works offline once the page has loaded.
