How it works

How to convert JSON to CSV

  1. Add your JSON

Drop a .json file on the box, or paste JSON into the text area and click Convert.

  2. Check the table

Each record becomes a row and each field a column. Nested objects are flattened into columns like address.city.

  3. Download the CSV

Pick a separator and download, or copy the CSV straight to your clipboard.

Why this converter

Built for real-world JSON

Finds the records

Works with a plain array, an API response like {"data": {"items": [...]}}, or JSON Lines with one object per line.

Nested fields flattened

Objects inside objects become dotted columns, and lists of values are joined with semicolons, so nothing is lost.

Every column kept

Records with different fields are merged into one table; missing values are left blank.

Private

Your JSON never leaves your computer. Safe for API keys, customer data and exports from internal tools.

FAQ

Questions

How do I convert JSON to CSV?

Drop your .json file onto the converter above or paste the JSON and click Convert. Check the preview, choose a separator, and click Download CSV.

What happens to nested JSON?

With Flatten nested objects turned on, a field like {"address": {"city": "Lima"}} becomes a column called address.city. Lists of simple values are joined with semicolons. Lists of objects are kept as JSON text in one cell.

My JSON has the records inside another object. Will it work?

Yes. The converter looks for the biggest list of records inside the file, so API responses like {"results": [...]} or {"data": {"items": [...]}} work without editing.

Does it support JSON Lines (NDJSON)?

Yes. Files with one JSON object per line (.jsonl or .ndjson) are read as one record per line.

Is my JSON uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser tab, so your data never leaves your device.
